WHAT MAKES THEM SPECIAL
Dark roast arabica dripped slowly through a metal phin onto sweetened condensed milk. Thicker than drip, sweeter than espresso, stronger than both. We serve it hot, iced, whipped with egg and blended with coconut.
WHY IT TASTES
DIFFERENT
Vietnam grows arabica, which has a smooth, aromatic profile with a rich, chocolatey character. Condensed milk balances it the way cream balances a dark roast. The phin does the rest, brewing under gravity with no pressure.

FAQs
Vietnamese coffee is dark roast arabica brewed slowly through a small metal filter called a phin and served over sweetened condensed milk. It is stronger and sweeter than standard drip coffee and can be ordered hot or iced.
Three things. Phin brewed coffee, sweetened condensed milk and ice. That is the entire recipe, which is why the quality of the beans and the brew matter so much.
Egg coffee is made by whipping egg yolk with condensed milk until it turns into a thick sweet custard, then floating it on hot coffee. It originated in Hanoi in the 1940s during a fresh milk shortage. There is no raw egg taste, and it drinks closer to tiramisu than to coffee.
Generally yes. The dark roast and phin brewing method produce a concentrated cup with a bold flavour. One iced Vietnamese coffee carries a noticeable amount of caffeine.
Yes. Several drinks can be made dairy free, and we can adjust the sweetness on most of the menu. Ask at the counter and we will build it to suit.
